Grammy award-winning singer and songwriter, Burna Boy has sparking discussions online following a video of him at a nightclub in Lagos.
In the video, Burna Boy was seen chilling and having the best time of his life at Hot Box club, together with popular socialite Yhemolee and other clubbers.
The ‘City Boys’ crooner was grooving hard, showcasing his dances step to every song like ‘Higher’, ‘Tshwala Bam remix’, played in the background.
What caught the attention of many was the singer stepping on some Naira notes, an action that goes against the rules and regulations for handling currency in Nigeria.
Spraying of, dancing or stepping on the naira or any note issued by the Bank during social occasions or otherwise is considered as an abuse. The punishment is no less than six months in prison or a 50,000 naira fine or both.
However, video of Burna Boy stepping on Naira notes triggered massive reactions.
