21 years old singer, Ayra Starr, has revealed that she had a telephone conversation with American-Trinidadian Hip Hop star, Nicki Minaj, and she informed her that she is a huge influence on her life.
The sonorous Nigerian singer whose real name is Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, revealed this in an article on latest edition of Teen Vogue.
Ayra Starr said she grew up listening to Nicki Minaj, and she informed her that she made her confident enough to challenge her teachers.
According to Ayra Starr, it felt surreal speaking with the rapper, adding that she doesn’t understand how much she loves her. She also said her noted that her record deal with Mavin Records is a big deal.
She said; “It just feels so surreal. I was on a call with Nicki Minaj…. She doesn’t understand how much I love her. I grew up listening to her. I was like, ‘You made me feel confident. Because of you, I could tell my teachers no!”
“Being signed to Mavin was definitely one of the best things to happen to me as an artiste.”

According to the lady, while his peers are constantly busy searching for clients to defraud, her boyfriend seems to prefer casual conversations on the messaging platform.
“He could spend an entire week without scamming anyone,” the lady exclaimed, “and all he does is chat on WhatsApp!”
She further expresses bewilderment at her boyfriend’s recurrent complaints about financial struggles while failing to take the business seriously.
