American rapper, Joe Budden, bestows the title of the ‘biggest artiste in the world’ upon the Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Burna Boy.
Budden acknowledges the self acclaimed African gaint as an influential figure in the music world during a recent episode of his podcast on the Joe Budden Network.
However, he expressed discontent over Burna Boy’s act of giving rights to Jamaican artist Byron Messia’s hit track ‘Talibans‘ after being featured in its remix.
Budden points out that he vehemently opposed similar actions, even when Kanye West engaged in such behavior a few years ago.
In his words;
“I’m never a fan of people transferring ownership of already existing songs to themselves after being featured in the remix.
“To the biggest artiste in the world [Burna Boy]. Yeah, I’m not a fan of when that happens. If you made the hit, go work it. If Burna Boy is on it, that should be yours now. But I don’t know the business he [Byron Messia] and Burna Boy did.
“I never remember that going right for somebody. Designer and Kenye [West], I wad vehemently against it.”
