Nigerian singer, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, known professionally as Burna Boy, caused a stir on social media as he insisted there’s nothing like the ‘big 3’, but only the ‘big 2’ and then there’s him.
The African gaint while performing at a concert, was heard singing one of his recent songs and suddenly stopped to address his fans.
He could be heard saying, “Next time anybody tells you about anything called the ‘big 3’, tell them there’s only the ‘big 2’ and then, there’s Burna Boy.”
While it is unsure who he was referring to as the big two, many have claimed that the singer meant Wizkid and Davido are the big two, and he isn’t on their level or in their category to make it the ‘big 3’, hence, there’s just the big two and there’s Burna Boy.
His statement, however, has attracted attention on social media, with many taking to the comment page of the post to share their observations.

@realtimmywrld: “Davido is 001, Wizkid is 002, Olamide is 003 You are not even among the big 3 keep your 004 and rest.”
@_Tri_stan: “Like…. I keep saying this. All this ppl fighting for owe owe one title in naija can have it. We don’t roll on that level… we global… on a different wave.”
@AbiolaAbdul: “His whole existence has been about the competition. He has touched the global level yet still feels insecure or defeated. I sympathise with him.”
@Tinarerelaw1234: “He has told people before and people can clearly see he’s in his own league but I’m glad he gave this message 😌🤣🔥❤️❤️❤️. Dats my bestfriend.”
@diamonddemola: “He’s not even big two, he’s third force! Let him continue to denigrate his people for validations, we still love Wizzy and David more than him. It’s not just about good music, it’s also about impact and how you are perceived at home. Burna too dey find enemies where there’s none.”
@AfrobeatDon2: “Nothing like Big 3 or Big 2. There is only one Big 1 and his name is Kizz Daniel, the true king of afrobeats. While the others live off hypes and stunt, everyone knows Kizz Daniel for his music and music only.”
